Guitar Masters Series: John Basile

March 4 @ 7:00 pm - 8:15 pm

$25.00
John Basile

John Basile’s playing has the essence of great jazz guitar: beautiful tone, marvelous swing, terrific technique, and excellent phrasing. — All About Jazz

New York City-based jazz guitarist and composer John Basile, who recently returned to the music scene after a successful 25-year venture into radiology, medical imaging, and business development, will grace the stage at Zinc Bar on March 4. Born and raised in Boston, Basile honed his jazz skills at Berklee College of Music and the New England Conservatory of Music, studying under luminaries such as Barry Galbraith, Jack Wilkins, and Chuck Wayne.

Having made a mark in Boston’s show band scene, Basile moved to NYC in 1985 and quickly became an in-demand guitarist, performing and recording with legends like Peggy Lee, Sylvia Sims, Rosemary Clooney, Tony Bennett, and Michael Brecker. His dark and smooth tone, strong sense of swing, and fingerstyle comping have earned him acclaim, drawing comparisons to jazz great Jim Hall.

Showtimes: 7:00 pm & 8:30 pm. Tickets: $25 (advance) / $30 (at the door). For more exciting shows by Charles Carlini Presents, visit https://www.charlescarlinipresents.com/.

Refunds available for cancellations. Once event starts, tickets are non-refundable. Arrive on time; notify for delays. Reservations held for 15 mins. Thank you for your cooperation.
